Curtner Lumber Company, located in Newport, Arkansas, introduces a new line of genuine solid hardwood planks that line your walls and ceilings with warmth and character. Ozark Natural Paneling is nothing like the pressed veneer sheets of paneling you may remember from years past… and it’s made right here in the Natural State.
The paneling operation was an idea set into motion years ago by the Curtner family and Sales Manager Herb King.
My father helped develop a paneling line for Townsend Lumber Company in Stuttgart, Arkansas in the 1950s. Being sales manager there, he was head of the distribution network and dealt primarily with the paneling products until he bought this Newport facility from Townsend in 1967. Twelve years ago we decided it was something we might want to pursue, but shelved it as a future possibility. When the economy took the hard downturn in 2008, we knew we had to get into a different kind of value-added product.

Curtner Lumber Company also operates a hardwood distribution yard with milling facilities and a wide line of cypress products.
