Ozark Natural Paneling hardwood solid plank paneling and wainscoting retains its natural qualities of expansion and contraction.
It is carefully kiln dried to 6% to 8% moisture content and could expand some if exposed to excessive humidity. To prevent any possible “buckling” by several boards taking on moisture, an adequate “expansion” space should definitely be provided in each corner as illustrated in the video below.
This step is extremely important and must be followed for proper installation.
To make sure your paneling installation looks professional, you will want to conceal the nails as much as possible. We recommend using pneumatic brad nails or #4 paneling nails. Nail at a 45 degree angle through the tongue. Use wood putty to conceal nails that may still be showing.
